Car park in MADRID CENTRAL. There are no fines in Madrid Central if you park in Plaza del Rey!! You just need to have your environmental classification label (0, ECO, C or B) stuck on the windscreen. If you are driving along Calle Génova, take Calle Argensola to get there. On the other hand, if you’re driving along Paseo de Recoletos, come in via Calle Prim. Parking in the centre of Madrid can be a nightmare, as we know. Luckily you can now leave your car in Plaza del Rey car park. It’s only 4 minutes’ walk form Plaza de la Cibeles and 2 minutes from the Gran Vía (yes, you read that correctly), one of the most emblematic streets in the Spanish capital. As you can see, if you come on holiday and want to leave the car close to everything Madrid has to offer, Plaza del Rey car park is well worth considering before you travel, surrounded as it is by theatres (Infanta Isabel, Marquina), restaurants, nightclubs, and the best outdoor eating and drinking in Madrid. If you need to deal with officialdom, on Calle Barquillo which leads to the car park you’ll find the National Markets and Competition Commission, the Cervantes Institute, the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Madrid City Council Treasury Office, etc.
